Registering Your Domain Name
Each website has its own unique name, such as Amazon.com or eBay.com. This is your "Domain Name." It is a unique name that identifies you to all of the other computers on the Internet.

There are now a number of companies (known as "registrars") competing with each other that will assist you with registering your website's name, including NetworkSolutions.com , Dotster.com, Register.com, Verisign.com and many others.

Most of the common and obvious names have already been taken (over 20 million names have been registered). Try first to find an easy-to-remember ".com" name for your site. Once you've successfully registered your domain name, it's yours to keep. It currently costs about $35 per year to have your name registered.

We will be hosting your domain for you, so you will need to know about our name servers when registering your domain. They are ns1.virtuserv.net, and ns2.virtuserv.net.

Web site

Now that you've got a domain, you will need a web site. We can provide that for you. We have several packages available for you to choose from. Select the one that best meets your business needs, and your skills with a computer.

e-Commerce tools

Our e-Commerce packages allow you to sell your product or service via the internet. There are two ways we can currently help you select payments. These are Verisign's Payflo Link and Paypal. You will need an account with one of these two services to accept payments online. There are advantages and diasadvatages to each, however Virtuserv.net recommends using the Verisign Payflo Link solution.
